This goes with the following entry. It’s a photo of the bulletin board I have in my bedroom. When I moved here in May, I put a few photos and cards on the board to remind me of home. As months have passed, however, it has become a scrapbook of sorts. I’ve saved all my ticket stubs, mail from friends, programs and such. There are mementos from my trips to Atlanta, Cincinnati, Missouri, the Bahamas. Brochures from some of the state parks I went hiking and biking at. Cards and letters from traveling friends. Wedding invitations. And so on. On days when I lose perspective, when I get homesick, when I wonder if Gainesville is where I belong, I look at this board. I see the life I’m building, and the people I love.
